My clients are individuals and couples who find themselves at a point in life where they may feel "stuck," or saying, "I've tried everything and nothing is working." Regardless of one's age, the feeling of being stuck is a common and universal experience. Entering into therapy is not a way to fix things, but rather a time to discover new opportunities for change and growth. It is through those times that the feeling of being stuck can evolve into positive movement and renewed energy. I work with all who are interested in creating their best life; however, I specialize in working with individuals and couples. I practice present-centered therapy; helping individuals make connections between their present concerns, prior experiences, and future goals. I work to help individuals integrate their emotional, behavioral, cognitive, spiritual, and physical selves to achieve holistic health.

Accepting new clients for gender-affirming surgery letters but no availability for new therapy clients. As a transmasculine-identified therapist, I'm proud to specialize in LGBQ+ and Transgender-affirming therapy. My passion as a therapist is to empower queer and trans, and nonbinary folks to embrace their authentic selves. Rooted in an anti-oppression framework, my mission is to co-create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to explore healing through the development of a therapeutic relationship founded in authenticity, openness, and connection. My pronouns are he/him. I invite you to share your pronouns and name with me. I have completed training/consultation to write referrals letters for gender-affirming surgery and utilize the WPATH Standards of Care. I specialize in providing LGBTQ-affirming therapy, and I stand in solidarity with folks who have experienced barriers to their own unique journeys. Most of all - I honor, celebrate, and center your lived experience. Whether you are seeking assistance in managing distress related to gender and sexuality, the coming out process, or navigating your unique transition, therapy can help you find and honor your inherent worth and wholeness. I had the honor of serving as the director of the counseling center at Columbus College of Art & Design for 10 years before moving into private practice. I especially enjoy working with artists and creatives, queer folks, transgender and non-binary folks, and neurodiverse folks. Some of the treatment areas I've focused on most include PTSD and complex trauma, sexual violence, childhood abuse, dissociation, anxiety and panic, depression, and relationship concerns. I believe in folks’ own natural and innate ability to learn, shift, grow, and heal, and I see myself as a guide or partner in the process. I highly value client feedback. I'm a flexible, trauma-focused therapist, and believe that gaining understanding of ourselves is essential in cultivating self-compassion and realizing more rest, freedom, and options in our lives. I offer challenge balanced with genuine care, and can integrate a variety of approaches, depending on client needs. I am EMDR trained and yoga certified. Trust, respect, collaboration, and humor are essential in the therapeutic relationship. I do my very best to move with humility, and I'm dedicated to fostering the most welcoming space I can for clients of all identities, abilities, beliefs, or practices. Please contact me with any questions or to schedule a consultation. I'm looking forward to knowing you!

Through my clinical experience I have noticed that societal pressures, peer pressure and unhealthy dynamics with others in the home, community and school settings have caused youth to rebel, often both internally and externally. Consequences of these behaviors can lead to impaired critical thinking skills, irregulated emotions and a lack of optimism of one’s ability to overcome barriers to a successful future. I utilize therapeutic interventions to empower clients and encourage them to recognize their untapped potential. I have knowledge and experience working with youth and young adults in various of settings. These settings include school, home, community, groups homes, residential centers and juvenile detention centers. I specialize in providing individual and family therapy for client’s between the ages of 8-21. Youth therapy is a collaborative process where all parties who want to be involved in the therapy process will work together on developing a individualized plan to help the youth work through their emotional or behavioral problems.

Coming to therapy can be a difficult choice. You’re struggling to manage everything life’s thrown at you, and you need some help. We all go through hard times, some worse than others, and the lingering effects of past experiences can make us feel stuck. When we experience trauma, not only are we often left with feelings of anxiety and depression, but it can also change the way our brains perceive the world around us. Let’s work together to find ways to break through those barriers, so you can let go of the things that have been holding you back and make the most out of life. I have specialized training in evidence-based interventions that focus on helping people heal from trauma, stress, and difficult life experiences. I approach therapy from an attachment- and strengths-based lens, meaning I prioritize the client-therapist relationship, while also highlighting what you’re already doing well to help you get where you want to be. Reaching out can be hard, but I pride myself on making clients feel comfortable and confident in their choice to begin therapy. My goals include helping clients not only better understand themselves, but also connect to others in deeper, more meaningful ways. I appreciate that you’re ready to take this next step, and I’m excited to work alongside you.
